The vacuum line running from the fpr it was unclear where it was running to. I removed it to see what would happen and the car ran no differently.

First check your fuel pressure regulator by pulling the vacuum line off and check for fuel there should not be anythen start the car and with a pressure gauge hooked up to fuel rail pull the vacuum line off the pressure should rise 5 10 psi if it doesnt replace regulatornext check the fuel pressure it should be 41 47 with key on and engine off if not within specs replace fuel pump.

Vacuum is lowest at idle and the way the fpr works is to return the most fuel back to the fuel tank when vacuum is lowest. Check that the pressure is within specs and it doesnt leakdown more than 5psi within 60 seconds after pump shutdown. I ask because mine doesnt seem to have much suction probably a break in the hose somewhere.
